Apicella's Bakery is an Italian bakery that opened in New Haven, Connecticut in 1920. It was founded by Italian immigrant Geremia Apicella, who grew up in the village of Minori in Italy's Amalfi Coast. He came to New Haven in 1907 and started his first bread bakery in 1914.
Today Apicella's is one of the largest Italian bread bakeries in Greater New Haven County.Â
