The distinct, pear-shaped Burrini cheese, is made of podolica breed of cows in Southern Italian regions of Campania, Puglia, Basilicata, Sicily, and Calabria. The soft pear-shaped cheese is a milder version of caciocavallo cheese or Provolone cheese wrapped around butter made from whey – that is burro in the Italian language. From our own Liuzzi Cheese.
